About Brandon Pedersen
When Brandon was a young boy, two of his family members were killed in a motor vehicle crash caused by a negligent driver. This tragedy inspired him to pursue a career in personal injury law, where he could advocate for others whose lives have been affected by negligence.
Brandon earned his Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Western University and went on to complete his law degree there as well. He joined the firm in 2019 as a summer student, returned for his articles in 2020, and became an Associate at McLeish Orlando shortly after being called to the bar in June 2021.
During law school, Brandon was deeply involved in Western Law’s community. He volunteered as a caseworker and student director at one of the school’s legal clinics and played an active role in the mentorship program, guiding and supporting fellow law students.
Outside the classroom, Brandon was a three-year member of both the Western Law Men’s Hockey Team and the Law Games Team, competing in sports ranging from ultimate frisbee to ball hockey. In recognition of his academic achievement and his contributions to the law school and broader community, he received the David C. Scott Memorial Award in 2020.
As a lawyer, Brandon has successfully represented clients before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice, the Licence Appeal Tribunal, and the Social Security Tribunal.
Brandon is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, the Toronto Lawyers Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Law Society of Ontario. He also serves as Vice-Chair on the Board of Directors for the Brain Injury Society of Toronto and sits on both the Fundraising Committee and the Birdies for Brain Injury Committee, in addition to serving on the Board of Directors of SpeedStaff Foundation.
