“1,000-plus helmets being handed out to kids across Waterloo, Wellington through Lidz on Kidz”, published by The Record, discusses the Lidz on Kidz campaign presented by the Brain Injury Association of Waterloo-Wellington and McLeish Orlando. The initial Bike Rodeo event planned for May 2020 turned into a contactless pickup event to distribute helmets in Kitchener and the surrounding areas. In 2020, 100 helmets were distributed to kids in Kitchener and 270 helmets to kids in Guelph and Mount Forest.
This year, BIAWW and McLeish Orlando set out to distribute 1,000 helmets.
