McLeish Orlando Announces the Launch of the Alex Amaro Cycling Kindness Award

McLeish Orlando Lawyers is pleased to announce its partnership with the Amaro family and Cycle Toronto for the Alex Amaro Cycling Kindness Award. This award was created in the memory of Alexandra Mary Orme Amaro who was a passionate cyclist embodying kindness, positivity, and generosity throughout her life. Alex left us in December 2020 when she was struck while riding her bike in Toronto.

The Alex Amaro Cycling Kindness Award is designed to recognize individuals or groups whose efforts exemplify a positive approach to making the City cycling friendlier, safer, more accessible, inclusive, and environmentally healthier and sustainable for everyone. The award aims at promoting initiatives that make the City a better place for cyclists.

Through this partnership, McLeish Orlando hopes to support the Amaro family and Cycle Toronto in promoting cycling kindness and a positive approach to cycling. The firm is proud to be associated with an award that recognizes the contributions of individuals or groups who make the City a better place for cyclists.

The award is open for nominations until Spring 2024, and the winners will be announced in April. The recipient will be awarded $1000 with an equal amount being contributed to Cycle Toronto in Alex’s name. McLeish Orlando encourages all cycling enthusiasts to nominate those who are making a difference in the cycling community. Together, we can honour the memory of Alex and continue her legacy of kindness, generosity, and positivity.
