Introduction
Since William’s call to the bar in 2010, he has dedicated his practice exclusively to working for seriously injured clients and their families. In addition to personal injury and fatality claims arising from motor vehicle collisions, Will has a wealth of experience handling occupiers’ liability, product liability, commercial host liability, long-term disability and wrongful death lawsuits. Will is passionate about helping his clients navigate the complexities of a negligence lawsuit and about maximizing their recovery.
Will has represented clients at all levels of Ontario Courts, including the Ontario Court of Justice, The Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, and the Ontario Court of Appeal. In addition, he has appeared before a wide variety of administrative tribunals, including the Workplace Safety Insurance Appeals Tribunal, Social Security Tribunal of Canada, and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board. He regularly represents clients before the Licence Appeal Tribunal with respect to disputes with their statutory accident benefits insurer.
Will regularly authors articles for legal publications and speaks at continuing legal education conferences hosted by the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, The Canadian Bar Association and The Ontario Bar Association, among others. He has authored chapters for and contributed to several legal texts including the Oatley McLeish Guide to Demonstrative Evidence, The Oatley McLeish Guide to Personal Injury Practice in Motor Vehicle Cases, and the 3rd, 4th, and 5th Editions of LexisNexis’ Ontario Courtroom Procedure. In 2022, Will was recognized by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers 2022.
Outside of the office, Will enjoys spending time with his wife and their two young children, camping, skiing, snowboarding, and running. He spends most of his time outside the office attending his son’s select baseball games, and his daughter’s ballet recitals. Will is an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and enjoys attending baseball games, as well as live hip-hop shows.
