Full-time Legal Assistant

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Filing legal documents (Statements of Claim, Affidavit of Documents, Motion Records, Trial Records, Pre-Trial and Mediation Memos, Notice of Examinations, Notice of Motions, etc.)
  • Drafting correspondence to clients, clinics, insurance companies and defense counsels
  • Reviewing medical documentation; compiling medical briefs
  • Scheduling and maintaining lawyers’ calendars
  • Communicate professionally with all clients
  • Other general duties as required
  • Organization/coordination of files/closing
  • Handle administrative details with respect to accounting
  • Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team oriented atmosphere

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Legal Assistant Course
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • PC Law and Time Matters

  • Toronto, ON

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Legal Assistant: 1 year

Must be excellent at multi-tasking and able to manage a heavy workload.
